Off Topic / Range contact information
« on: May 15, 2017, 12:00:12 PM »
Fellow Jeepers,
I am working an effort putting people in place to work at an overseas location and need to qualify them on the M16A2 (or equivalent) and 9MM pistol using a US Army qualification format. Looking for a range that has a formal billing process that i could contract with. Please contact me via PM if you have anything. Thank you,

Build Threads / Brake Bleeding Kit
« on: May 10, 2017, 08:42:26 AM »
So I just dropped an order for the new Teraflex Falcon 3.3 shocks and will have to replace brake lines due to increased droop expected. Does anyone have a bleeder kit I can borrow in about 2 weeks (have to got to Tampa next week when parts come in) to do a better job rather than the old school method. I also ordered the exhaust spacers and spring retention clips to go along as these shocks are about 4 inches longer than the Blistein 5100 series shocks the AEV lift kit came with.(I will be throwing those out for sale after the swap as well, maybe for about $150). Jeep is up on blocks right now for bump stop replacement and these mods. Hope to be put back together for the Providence drive in for June. As always, free beer to anyone who wants help put it back together.

Jeep Talk / 2017 Jeep Jamboree Schedule
« on: December 05, 2016, 02:06:31 PM »
The 2017 Jeep Jamboree schedule has been recently released with rides being opened each day for registration. We went last year to Cullman and had an absolute blast and recommend going to these if you enjoy seeing what your Jeep is capable of. They do a good job of grouping people by driver skills and vehicle set up. I am going to attend the Texas Spur in the spring and then Cullman again in the summer. They are little pricey but I think the money is worth it. Hope to see some of you there as well.

Off Topic / Hollytree Annual Membership
« on: November 30, 2016, 01:34:36 PM »
When Tim and I were at Hollytree this last weekend we talked to the owner Russ about the possibility of a yearly fee for reduced costs and so you didn’t have to fill out the waiver every time you went out there. Russ is all for it and is thinking around $150 for the driver. I am sure we can also talk him into a reduced rate for those who bring along their wife/friend just about every ride. Hollytree is an okay park that could use some work and improvements, i.e. better marking of the trails, cutting back some of the brush and branches to minimize pin striping, etc. but he is currently working on adding 200 – 400 more acres of trails with plans for cabins and a bathhouse. If interested let Russ know.

Off Topic / Mountain Bike Rides
« on: October 31, 2016, 10:47:14 AM »
Noticed from several posts and discussions on Saturday, that several of us also enjoy mountain biking. I ride just about every weekend at the Space Center around 9:00 am. If anyone is interested and would like to meet up to ride let me know. Willing to adjust start time if need be but generally do like riding in the morning so that it doesn't kill the whole day. Next ride for me will be probably the 13th as I am headed to wheel in the Smokies this weekend and probably will go down to Cullman for the Dixie run on the 12th. Great meeting those that showed up on Saturday.

Build Threads / Our Jeep
« on: October 17, 2016, 01:43:41 PM »
This is our first Jeep ever and can't believe it took so long to get it. Bought it day before I left for business trip to the middle east. Spent 2 week trip buying stuff for it while I was gone. Came home for one week before leaving for the next 4 week trip where I spent more time buying stuff. Daily chat with wife as follows: Her - More boxes got delivered today. Me - That is great news. Her - How much stuff did you get? Me - I gotta go, bad connection. Came home put everything myself minus the lift kit, went to Jeep Jamboree in Cullman and have been smiling every since. Details:

AEV 2 1/2 suspension lift
1 1/2 wheel spacers
Banks Cold Air Intake
Rugged Ridge tube doors
M.O.R.E. spring loaded steps

Thank you to whomever put the beer coozie on my windshield at Lowes today. Would have much rather been out Jeeping than working on garage sink. Look forward to meet people in this group.
