Do most people still use CB's on trails?
Most of us run one when we are out on the trail.

This is how I’ve always done it. I didn’t know there were specific details like the 50x diameter length but anyway it’s a very easy splice.

What year is your jeep? What radio is it? What are the three letters on bottom right of the radio.

When stopped I believe you have to be in park.

If you are interested you can buy a lockpick system that will free that function up along with everything else you would like.

Nice, welcome to the group. We have a lot of trail rides that more customized needs go down but we also have a lot of stock jeeps as well. Almost all of the trails we do have bypasses so if you don't feel comfortable on that particular trail you don't have to complete it. We have a lot of really good guides that have been out quite a bit and are more than willing to get you over and through any obstacle.

Check out the events section for out December ride. It's coming up pretty soon.

Jeep Talk / Re: Diagnosing Death Wobble

I'm so glad I saw this post!! I'm new to the Jeep family and this has happened to me 3 times already!
It only happened when I went over railroad tracks, and I was only going about 40 or so.
The only way to get it to stop was to almost come to a complete stop and get the tires to stop rotating so fast.

What can I do to fix it? Is there anywhere in Huntsville that yall have used that can be trusted to tell me like it is?
Please help!!
Go check out chad at luckydog. He can help you figure out what's going on.

Planman's videos are legendary when it comes to diagnosing and fixing DW.  Many a Jeeper has been able to fix their Jeep because of his videos.

Hopefully you can get your issue figured out.  Is it actual DW, where the only way to make it stop shaking is to bring the Jeep to a complete stop; or is it more a speed-related shimmy (around the 30 - 45 MPH range)?  Full-on DW is scary, to say the least.  I had it once in my ZJ while towing a boat.  Felt like the entire Jeep was going to shake itself apart, until I pulled over and stopped.  I have had speed-related shimmy with the JK, but that was due to the tires/wheels being out of balance.

He's not kidding. I had it 7-8 times heading to the beach. Doing 70 when that happens is scary. It does help clearing traffic from around you though. Haha.

I ended up changing pretty much everything under mine trying to get rid of it. The last thing I have left to change is the ball joints.

Good luck figuring it out and keep us updated.

Off Topic / Black Friday deals
« on: November 09, 2017, 11:49:24 AM »
So I figured with Black Friday just around the corner I'd start something for any of the great deals everyone will be finding. I dont know what will be out here yet but I'm sure there will be something someone will want.

Welcome sea lemons, (sounds like an interesting story).

We don't do many of those week long trips if any at all. We do plenty of other trips though. And you never know we may have a couple of those trips come up.

The jeep looks good and look forward to watching it grow. If you have any questions or need help with anything post up here and let us know.

 Well this is just perfect.

As long as that pic was taken after you issued the challenge, I would say it is good.

Let's see your new challenge!

Yeah this pic was taken over the weekend.

Awesome man. Glad you come over to the best side. Good looking jeep. Definitely suggest wheeling it the way it is and finding where you have problems. Then upgrade as needed.
