Probable cost of a 6cyl motor to replace a 4.

Asking for my Mandolin instructor.

He has a friend that has a 4cyl Wrangler that has some piston issues.  He was wondering what a ball-park figure would be on throwing a 6cyl in there.

Probably around the same as a V8 swap.  With the labor rates you can probably get a bigger engine for not much more.  Unless he can do the work himself, then I think they make adapters for the mounts.

If he can do some wrenching himself, there is a motor for 400$
